This role plays a critical role in supporting the MDP People team in Asia Pacific. The overall objective is to drive the promotion and development process of AP MDPs, and the AP Senior Advisor program.
Specifically, this role will play a leadership role on a number of People fronts including
- Partner/Principal pipeline and OPT (Officer Promotion Team)
- Lateral MDP tracking, on-boarding and integration
- Senior Advisor tracking, on-boarding and overall management
- ODC support (Office Development Committee)
- Strategic projects as needed
This position requires a mature leader with exceptional communication, organization and analytical skills, with attention to detail. In addition, this position is expected to act with initiative, taking a large degree of responsibility which is expected to further expand over time.
Partner/Principal pipeline and OPT management:-
Partner/Principal pipeline:-
- Responsible for managing the Partner/Principal pipeline semi-annually by reviewing and updating submissions from AP systems
- Determine analyses required and prepare outputs base on pipeline and support in forward looking pipeline analysis in conjunction with MDP growth forecast
- Determine and perform additional analyses as required for APMT review
- Support DE&I team, functional team, and practice areas (if requested) on their respective pipeline in identifying gaps and support in initiatives to manage pipeline
OPT:-
- Plan annual OPT timeline including submission dates and meetings with APMT (endorsing body of OPT)
- Responsible for OPT review for twice a year MDP promotion which includes slate preview and slate endorsement process
- Work closely with CD teams in systems/BUs to drive OPT candidate submissions and prepare material for APMT review, review individual candidacy and engage with CD teams and PDC Chairs on specific follow-up areas
- Work closely with AP functional team to drive the functional agenda in the OPT process
- Represent AP in global OPT team
- Assess OPT candidates and highlight strengths and areas for development for AP OPT Chair in preparation of interviews with System Leaders
- Share best practices within region and globally as appropriate
- Drive for continuous improvement of OPT process in the region
Lateral hire integration:-
- Responsible for monthly tracking of lateral MDPs in AP, including ABMs
- Work closely with respective teams in the systems to develop comprehensive on-boarding material/ development plan for lateral MDPs
- Serve as the key contact point in AP to coordinate the on-boarding and integration of lateral MDPs
- Remain connected with lateral hire MDPs in first 18 months in particular to help navigate BCG as well as pulse check with the MDPs, sponsors and ODC advisors as needed
- Organize bi-annual AP lateral hire get-together events
Senior Advisor program:-
- Responsible in regular tracking of Senior Advisors in AP, including updating profiles in key internal resources such as Navigator
- Work closely with respective teams in the systems to develop comprehensive on-boarding material/ development plan for new Senior Advisors
- Organize annual AP Senior Advisor get-together events
- Prepare bi-annual AP Senior Advisor newsletters
- Prepare other Senior Advisor program materials as needed
- Represent AP in global Senior Advisor team
- Support system teams in Senior Advisor review as required
- Share best practices within region and globally as appropriate
- Drive for continuous improvement of Senior Advisor program in the region
ODC support:-
- Provide peak period ODC support
- As ODC expands, gradually expand the scope in ODC also as a way to learn up the role
Strategic regional initiatives:-
- Drive priority initiatives that will arise each year following AP Management Team and/or Global MDP People team priorities and goal setting
Support overall MDP People team in AP:-
- Ad hoc support as needed
Qualification And Experience:-
- Bachelor’s degree, minimum 10 years of working experience
- Experience at BCG; HR and strategy consulting experience preferred
- Computer and related information technology operations and principles
- Extensive knowledge of HR online tool
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of BCG structure and Career Development process a plus

- Exceptionally strong analytical skills including advance Excel skills and other similar tools

- Willingness to get hands dirty and take on more mundane tasks which may include administrative and logistics planning at times
