There is good news for employees of the Government of Haryana. They will all be covered under the cashless health-facility scheme, which was initially started for the staff of the fisheries and horticulture departments, and their dependents in November, 2023. The facility has now been extended to all employees on government rolls in Haryana.
In additionally to all types of indoor treatments and daycare procedures, the scheme will cover six life-threatening emergencies — cardiac emergency, coma, cerebral haemorrhage, cancer (stages three and four), electric shock — as well as accidents, in line with the provisions of the scheme.
All the procedures listed under the benefit will be completely cashless for the beneficiaries and the hospitals can get approval for their claims from a single platform within a specified time frame. The services will not only be more efficient under the scheme, but will also be seamless and timely.
The beneficiaries will be given an e-card/CCHF card using which they can avail of benefits under the scheme in the hospitals that are part of the panel. They will just have to share their payee code, Aadhaar number or PPP number, and the expenses under the scheme will be covered by the Haryana government.
Governor Bandaru Dattatraya and Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar gave away Ayushman cards to some government employees during a programme to launch the cashless facility on the first day of the New Year.
